Thursday – March 5, 2026 – at sea to Townsville day 1
Today’s featured photo shows one of the Air team leaders – Allesandro – pointing to a win at World Games by the Air team. That happened today! The game was to throw a metal hanger at a clothes rack and have the hanger “hang” on the rack. Air was the only team to be able to put a hanger on the rack and we only had 1 and it was with only 3 seconds left in our time! That is why today’s title indicates we were lucky.
Following World Cruise games, we went to the buffet on deck 13 and had some lunch. There is a photo of Kelsey and Jan at the table. Shortly after that Kelsey needed to go to the Onyx Lounge on deck 7 to surrender her passport. The ship is collecting all passports as a requirement imposed by Australian immigration authorities. Jan and I surrendered our passports on deck 13 in the Yacht Club lounge earlier in the day.
At dinner today Carl brought the “Crocodile Dundee” hat he purchased when he and Yvonne stayed at Manly Beach. There is a photo of them in the gallery. There is also a photo of Jan with her Diamond Voyagers Club cruise card. While checking information for our 2028 World Cruise, I found that Jan had enough points to be a diamond member. We went to Guest Services on deck 5 and asked that they update her cruise card to reflect that. Now all three of us are Diamond members.
