Saturday – March 28, 2026 – at sea to Shanghai
Today’s featured photo shows Yvonne and Kelsey wearing kimonos they purchased while in Japan. There were many stores that sold kimonos making shopping necessary to find just the “right one”. I think they both look great. If only Jan had bought a white kimono – then we could have had a photo with red, white and blue.
There are photos courtesy of Jan of today’s World Cruise game. Working in pairs, each pair had to inflate a balloon inside a double-sided paper cup and carry the cup (while holding the balloons with their teeth and hands behind the back) across the deck then dropping the cup into a bucket. Air did not win this contest – we had a score of 2 – the winner had at least 3 more than that.
Jan saw a boat we passed during the day that she said looked like it was hauling houses. She took a photo and it is included in the gallery. This afternoon was the second cooking session of Master Chef at Sea. Today the field of contestants will be reduced from 4 to 3. All 4 cooked with the same ingredients. The dishes were scored by members of the culinary staff. Adele was eliminated which left Modori, David and Brian for the final “cook”. The final contest will take place on one of the 2 sea days we will be in China.
