Cruise The World With Us 2026

Saturday – April 25, 2026 – at sea to Cape Town day 5

This is the week for birthdays within our circle of friends. Hilde and Gerrit have reserved space in the Topazio Bar for a birthday celebration honoring her. In May they may also have a celebration on the 12^th for Gerrit’s birthday. Today’s featured photo shows the signage on the wall of the lounge – and I’m sure you can see it is not English – it is Flemish (which Gerrit and Hilde use at dinner and we don’t understand at all). There are a couple images from the bar and a video from the cake presentation at dinner. Hilde had a great day which included a phone call with her children (son and daughter) and probably a Facetime with their 2 dogs (which they talk about as frequently as their children – they really love the dogs and the dogs return the affection).

Also in the gallery are photos of a couple ships we passed – Minoas and Scio Spirit – both bulk carriers.

Today we celebrated South Africa Night in the restaurants. There are a couple photos from the buffet.

The last photo in today’s gallery is of Kelsey with a lighted wreath she picked up the day before at the “Back To The Past” party held on deck 13 at 10:30 pm.
