I know you’ve all been waiting for news concerning the jigsaw puzzle on deck 7. The news is that it has been solved. We don’t know who placed the final pieces but we do know that not a single piece was placed by us. I’ll write more later today. Here are videos and photos from today.
Today’s sunrise was very colorful and the sea was fairly calm so the video doesn’t jump so much.
For breakfast today Jan and I tried the Belgium waffles. They were very tasty and came with a fruit sauce, syrup and whipping cream.
Didn’t have much to do in the morning until World Cruise Game time. Today we were to flip water bottles so that they land upright. Each team had 2 sessions of 6 minutes each to see how many times we could “land” a bottle. I think our team (Air) placed second – Water won this one. There are a couple videos that show people competing and some who were successful. I tried 3 or 4 times but didn’t “land” one. Guess I’ll need to practice this when we return home in case there is a water bottle flip contest nearby.
One exciting item today was an unscheduled stop offshore near a Brazilian town to offload a “medical emergency” on the starboard side of the ship. I got to the railing on deck 13 in time to see a boat leaving with what looked to be a wrapped body on the deck behind the bridge (wasn’t a big boat). It wasn’t announced what happened – just a “medical emergency”. According to someone Jan talked to, there were actually 4 of them in the last 24 hours (some overnight). I guess with 3,000 passengers you’re likely to have things like this – especially since the average age of those passengers is over 60 for sure.
Kelsey had some unnamed beef that, on the menu, had a fancy name. Forgot to take a photo of the menu so take a look at the photo and let me know if you have any idea what it might be called. The meat had a gravy, vegetables and potato puree.
Following dinner was a musical presentation by a Brazilian singer billed as Brazilian songs. The only song with English lyrics was “Moon River”. Don’t know what that had to do with Brazilian music, but it was one of the songs she sang. I recognized some of the songs by the melody but certainly not the lyrics which were all Portuguese. Got plenty of video clips for you to review. I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s musical presentation – “Yellow Submarine”. Pretty sure I’ll know those lyrics.

good time to rest. Beef looked great
When you say “wrapped body”are you saying the person was deceased?
Why didn’t you guys put a piece in the puzzle that way you could have said you helped put it together 😂
