The featured image today is from the World Cruise Game. The M.C. is holding a packet of sugar – one of the items to be counted. The teams were given 10 items for which they were to give an estimate of the number present. The items were placed on a table and teams could get no closer than approximately 12 feet. At the end of 3 minutes the team(s) with the estimate(s) closest to the actual count scored a point. After 9 items our team – Air – was tied with Fire so we had a playoff item – spaghetti noodles. Unfortunately, Fire’s estimate was closer than ours. There will be no game tomorrow as we are in port at Puerto Madryn. The Captain’s voice was booming his usual noon status report so we couldn’t hear what the next game will be. Guess we will just show up and participate.
Today’s sunrise could have been much better if there had been clouds. However, it is always comforting to see the sun rise and know the Earth is still rotating on its axis!
Following the World Cruise Game Jan had a chance to catch up on her journal, We had a snack at the buffet and Kelsey whooped butt again playing Trash. By the way, today was special as the ship celebrated the Chinese New Year. At the buffet they prepared Chinese food which included mini egg rolls. Jan and Kelsey said the line to get those was quite long. You can see some of them in a photo of Kelsey plate. The celebration carred over to the evening’s attire – “RED”. Didn’t get a photo of that but the dining room was very RED.
Each day since we boarded we have been provided a bowl of fresh fruit. This is a service we used during our trial cruise in December 2023 and liked. We usually receive an orange, plum, kiwi and some other fruit like banana, apple, grapes or pear. We have fallen a little behind eating those deliveries. Included in today’s photos is what we have left to eat of that fresh fruit. It is nice to have it to replace the temptation of empty calories and it is convenient to have it in the room rather than traveling to the buffet on deck 13.
Included is a screenshot of the temperatures and weather. Pretty mild and cooler than the 90’s of Rio. Kelsey showed us a gift her cabin steward left for her – an insulated vest with MSC World Cruise 2025 printed on it. We assume we will find similar vests in our cabin when we return.
There are a couple photos of items from our evening meal. Kelsey can’t help herself when it comes to spaghetti. She ordered spaghetti with mussels knowing she would not eat the seafood. Karen likes seafood so problem solved – separate the seafood from the spaghetti and give it to Karen!
The evening entertainment today was the main show group of 15 people. We weren’t sure what to expect with a show titled “Grafiti”. As it has been for every show to date from these performers the music and presentation were great. You’ll probably recognize some of the songs. By the way, I’ve done something different for the video clips. In order to include more of the video I have changed the quality and format to allow more time for each clip. We can’t see how these videos look because we don’t have streaming Internet service. Let us know if today’s clips of the evening entertainment are of acceptable quality and size.
You’ll find today’s video and photos here.
Tomorrow we dock at Puerto Madryn and are off on a 7 hour excursion to see penguins.

Sorry you lost to those Fire people.
Who won the card game between Kelsey and Jan?
The videos were very good despite whatever changes you made.
Keep on having fun.
The videos are good. Don’t folks get up and dance on some of those. I would have to.
