Monday – March 17, 2025 (St. Patrick’s Day)
Today’s featured photo has nothing to do with an at sea day – I just like this photo of the sunrise at Tauranga (bear with me).
Today was virtually a mirror image of other at sea days – World Cruise game (Air didn’t win). Our challenge was to shoot a Nerf ball through a hoop and into buckets labeled with different point values. Kelsey took some artistic license with the video so you’ll see some of it is rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise. The next announced game is “Mister mime”. I’m not fond of mimes so we’ll see what this game involves after we visit Melbourne.
Included in the media is another status report from the captain. Listen carefully at the end and let me know if you thoughts have changed regarding how he signs off (i.e., does he say “My little pretty ship.”?).
John Thiering returned today to tell more stories using sand images. You’ll find several of those in today’s media.
Even though it is St. Patrick’s Day the theme celebrated in the dining rooms was Australian Night. Don’t know why but they don’t ask us when they make these decisions. I thought St. Patrick’s Day was universally celebrated. There are a few photos from the dinner choices. The kangaroo tasted like beef.
Tonight’s entertainment was a man with band who performed some of Elton John’s songs. I’m sure you will recognize all the songs that were played. The female singer is the piano player’s wife. They weren’t bad but not the same as the original (who could be).
