Wednesday – May 6, 2026 – at sea to Mindelo day 6
Every cruise we take has a day or perhaps several when the kitchen produces extraordinary food displays. Today is one of those days on MSC Magnifica. This evening deck 13 was filled with “fancy” food as you can see from today’s featured photo. There were so many passengers on deck it was hard to move.
We are getting closer to Cape Verde and the temperature is become more tolerable as we move further from the equator. The seas were calm this morning when I set the camera for a sunrise time lapse video, so you won’t see the image jerking up and down as it sometimes does.
There was some wind today, so the scheduled World Cruise game was scrapped and a game we played on May 2nd was repeated – throw the basketball across the deck and get it in a bucket. The results were similar – few could make the buckets and Air did not prevail.
The other photos in today’s gallery are from Buffet Magnifico. They allow people on deck half an hour before the food is served so it can be photographed. If you look carefully at the photos, you’ll see passengers on decks 13 and 14 ready to grab plates and tear apart the displays. I have no idea how many man hours were spent preparing this buffet but it was time well spent – everyone enjoyed both looking and eating (Kelsey went back for a second helping of dragon fruit).
