Monday – February 23, 2026 – at sea to Auckland day
Today’s featured photo shows the delivery of fruit we received today in our cabin. We signed up to receive fruit each day of the cruise. Normally we get whole fruit – apples, kiwis, bananas, plums, grapes, peaches, etc. However, once we get near New Zealand and Australia, we only receive cut fruit. Those countries do not allow passengers to take fruit off the ship. Cutting the fruit is the ship’s way to remind passengers they can’t take fruit with them. They also cut all the fruit in the buffet (where you could get whole fruits before we arrived in this area). Today’s fruit included watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, kiwi and honey dew melon.
The excitement of the day was our World Cruise game – try to hit the group leaders with Nerf balls. There are a few photos of these attempts. Air didn’t win – came in third.
Sea days aren’t boring – they are relaxing – that is why there are not usually lots of photos from these days.
