Today at roughly 7:00 am we crossed the equator for the 4th and final time for this cruise. The previous times were in January on our way to Brazil, in early April on the way from Australia to the Maldives and a few days later as we sailed from the Maldives to the Seychelles. 2 crossings in the Atlantic Ocean and 2 crossings in the Indian Ocean.
In addition to our many equator crossings we now have certificates showing we navigated past 4 of the Southernmost capes in this world – Cape Horn in South America, New Zealand South Cape, Australia’s Cape Leeuwin and Africa’s Cape Agulhas. We can check that achievement off our bucket lists.
World Cruise game today was flying cans. After seeing the setup for the game I understand the title. Empty drink cans were labeled with numbers in increments of 5 from 5 to 100 and placed on 2 tables set around 10-15 feet away from 2 other tables that held Nerf guns with balls. The objective was to knock over the cans with the Nerf balls. The value of the can was recorded and totaled for each team. Each team was given 5 minutes to knock over as many cans as possible. I decided to make a time-lapse video of this activity and I think it turned out interesting. You can watch all 20+ minutes of shooting in less than 30 seconds. Air came in 3rd – Water won by a considerable margin. Don’t have a clue what Luigi announced as the next game but we will find out tomorrow.
Don’t have any media for it but this afternoon Kelsey has an appointment at the spa for a 50 minute Belinese massage. She was given this massage as part of a promotional package when we booked her single room during our Christmas 2023 cruise in the Caribbean.
