Wednesday – February 4, 2026 – at sea to Los Angeles
Today’s featured image is the answer sheet listing the airports identified by their 3-character code. Correctly identifying these 60 airports was today’s World Cruise game. Air didn’t win but we did have a good showing – including the code for the Mason City, Iowa airport – MCW.
Not a lot on the plate for today and not may photos/videos as a result. The sunrise was nice over a very calm Pacific Ocean. As noted above, the game was to identify 60 airports. This is a game that was played last year so we knew at least the Mason City call out. I’m not sure we had a copy of the list so we didn’t have a chance to study for this game.
The theme for evening at the restaurant was American Night. I think that had something to do with the fact that our prior port (San Diego), next port (Los Angeles), next next port (Hilo) and next, next, next port (Pago Pago) are all United States ports. Tables were set with red, white and blue napkins and the menu was slanted more toward American food (and away from Mediterranean cuisine).
The entertainment in the theater tonight was titled “Wonderland” and had some ties to Alice. There were many acrobats in the show (in addition to the singers and dancers). The gallery has photos of 6 acrobats performing feats that are well beyond my capability!
We don’t have MSC excursions scheduled for either of the next 2 day when we reach Los Angeles so we are excited to see what we can work out.
