Saturday – March 21, 2026 – at sea to Tokyo day 1
Today’s featured photo shows the 6 people who made the “cut” to participate in Master Chef At Sea. This is a program like those TV shows where chefs compete against each other until a “best chef” is determined. The 6 finalists were selected based on their answers to a written quiz.
Today is the first of 2 sea days until we arrive at Tokyo on Monday. The World Cruise game today involved tossing a partially filled water bottle with the object that it land on its base and not tip over. The bottle was to be grabbed by the top from a position at rest on a table. Then the bottle was to be rotated to make 1 revolution so the top was pointed up. If the bottle landed on the table and did not tip over, a point was given to the team. The photos in the gallery show those 3 steps – grab, rotate, land – for a successful execution. Air was not the team with the highest number of lands.
Not sure why but tonight was named Balinese Night in the restaurant. We aren’t visiting Bali this cruise – that is scheduled to happen in the 2028 World Cruise. Kelsey likes photos of the named nights so she is pictured with the display in today’s gallery.
Today’s gallery is here.
