Throughout this cruise there has been a competition among passengers to determine who would become the MasterChef at Sea of this cruise. Today that question was answered when Giorgio was selected by both the judges and the guests as the favorite. You’ll find video and photos in today’s media showing Giorgio and Michel in their final competition.
Today’s World Cruise game was named “Robo Cup”. The objective was to move 6 discs from a table into a plastic glass using your hands. But those hands were each inside a plastic glass so you had to “grab” the discs from opposite sides and move them to the third glass. As you’ll see by watching the videos, some of the participants were very adept at this task – others not so much. Need I say it – Air did not win. Tomorrow’s game is “Flying cans”. No clue.
I thought you might need an update from our captain so I recorded most of his noon status report. Key to the report is the distance traveled from Genoa (30,608 NM) and distance remaining to Genoa (4,312 NM). Where has the time gone!
The MasterChef at Sea competition was held in the theatre in the afternoon. You’ll see video and photos of the activity and results in today’s media.
Another sunset but no combination of sun and clouds that was out of the ordinary. I must say thought, watching a sunset at sea is different than on land. The light reflects from the water for quite a while after the sun drops below the horizon – something that is not as noticeable on land in my opinion.
Tonight’s entertainment in the theatre was twofold – first a song with dance from the young cruisers, the MSC mascot and a large white bunny. Following that the primary show troup sang, danced and performed acrobatics with the theme of Parisian nightlife – can can dancing and so forth. At least one number from Moulin Rouge.
The final activity of the evening (at least for us) was a World Cruise games competition involving dancing, magic and singing from each of the 4 groups – Air, Water, Fire and Earth. Each group was to put together a roughly 7 minute show incorporating those elements. This was the final segment of a 5 part “Stage Show” group of activities which involved individual performers singing and dancing and a group video (which Air won not too long ago). Before tonight’s presentations Air and Water were tied. The result today was that Water won the 7 minute show and in doing so, won the “Stage Show” group activity. What do we have to do to win????? You will find the video of Air’s presentation and photos of the night’s activities in today’s media.
