Cruise The World With Us 2026

Olga Is A Gem!

Friday – March 6, 2026 – at sea to Townsville day 2

Our featured photo today shows 2 of our breakfast table members – Joe and Deborah Sierra – with a Guest Service employee – Olga. Yesterday Olga helped us change Jan’s cruise card to reflect her status as Diamond. Joe and Deborah are Blue Diamond members, but they received cruise cards which indicate they have not traveled with MSC prior to this cruise. Blue Diamond is currently the highest point level available for Voyagers Club members and anyone having that level must have been on several cruises. We offered to take Joe and Deborah to meet Olga and explain their situation. Olga took care of issuing new cards that indicated the correct Voyagers Club level and posed with them for a photo.

Not a lot to report for the remainder of the day. The World Cruise game was like the game Post Office but was done by drawing on the back of the person in front of you an image of what someone drew on your back. Each team created lines of 5 players facing forward. The person at the front of the line had a clipboard with paper and pen. The person at the back of the line was shown a simple line drawing. They then had to “draw” that image on the back of the person in front of them. Once complete, that person then would recreate the drawing on the back of the person in front of them. The process continues until the person at the front of the line has the image drawn on their back. They then draw what they believe is the image on the paper and clipboard and show it to the judge to see if the image was communicated correctly through the backs of the other in the line. Air did not win this competition – I believe we were in third place.

The last photo in today’s gallery shows Carl finishing off a bottle of prosecco. We invited Gerrit, Hilda, Carl and Yvonne to our cabin to help us reduce our supply of prosecco and champagne (we have collected 4 bottles of prosecco and 3 bottles of champagne during this cruise). With Carl’s help we were able to reduce the prosecco count by 3. We’ll have another party later to work on what remains.

You’ll find today’s photo gallery here.
