Cruise The World With Us 2026

Tai Chi

Friday – February 13, 2026 – at sea to Pago Pago day 2

We may be at sea but one of Jan’s favorite activities at home is still available – a Tai Chi class. Today’s featured photo shows the attendees for the Tai Chi class held each sea day in the Onyx Lounge at 9:15 am.

In the morning, we went to deck 13 by the pool for World Cruise games. The game was to throw a ball back and forth using beach/pool towels. There were 2 preliminary heats to determine the finalists. Air did not win our heat and by the time the finals would have been played, it began to rain making the playing surface dangerous (for slipping and falling). The game point was split between Fire and Water.

Following the game, we went to the buffet for lunch. While in Los Angeles the ship picked up fresh pepperoni so now there are pepperoni pizzas. I had a couple slices while Jan and Kelsey had spring rolls and other stuff. The girls didn’t go to high tea in the afternoon as they usually do on sea days.

The entertainment in the evening was from an on-ship band. They played Italian selections and all lyrics were Italian, so I don’t know the names of any of the songs played. The band was enthusiastic and played well but it would have been better for us if we could have understood what was being said.

At 10:30 pm we joined many others in the Onyx Lounge to watch the World Cruise games teams compete in the dance competition. Each team had a couple dance and a group dance. With the exception of Air (our group) the teams had young people in their groups, and those youngsters energized the group dances. Air finished last in the competition – Earth won. This competition is 1 of 5 artistic games so we aren’t out of the running. The 5 competitions are: singing, dancing, acting, comedy and show. Air finished second in the singing competition. Last year we won the show (which is a 5-minute movie). We’ll see how we do this year.
