You know it must be a slow day when the featured image is your toilet. However, there are many people who have not been on a cruise ship and we thought it appropriate to give everyone a chance to experience the thrill of flushing “the head”. So, in today’s media you will find a video clip showing how to close and activate the flushing system. You must be careful NOT to put “stuff” in the bowl that might plug the system. It’s not like you can call Roto-Rooter while at sea!
Enough toilet talk. We had a World Cruise game today – it was actually pretty simple. Each team had a stack of 100 sheets of paper. The paper was to be folded into paper airplanes. After that the planes were to be flown so they would fly through a loop held on a stand about five feet off the floor. Of course, Air didn’t win. As a matter of fact we came in last. Didn’t have trouble folding the planes but we had big issues flying them. I’m sure we will be successful with the next game which was described as elastic. We’ll have to wait and see what that means.
For dinner Jan and I had ham with a nice sauce. Was very good and like what Jan makes at home.
The entertainment this evening was our stage troop presenting rock and roll songs from the past. They did a good job and especially the lead male singer who both sang and played piano for Elton John songs. Hope you enjoy them.
By the way, our itinerary has been altered due to cyclones in the Northeast of Australia. Our schedule for North Island in New Zealand will be Auckland on Monday, March 3rd, Tauranga on Tuesday, March 4th, at sea on March 5th and Bay of Islands on Thursday, March 6th. The schedule after that remains unchanged.
We will also undergo an unusual (at least for us) event on Friday night at midnight. We will cross the International Date Line and will completely skip March 1st. So before midnight it will be Friday, February 28th, and after midnight it will be Sunday, March 2nd. We also set our clocks back an hour at 3:00 am on Sunday so we will be 19 hours ahead of the time at our home. How do you reclaim the day lost? We asked Priscilla in Future Cruises about crossing the IDL. She has done it many times and doesn’t think she will ever get all those days lost back!

How do you get a day back? Yummy ham
Yep gam looks good and so does the desserts as usual. I recognized mist if the songs. Interesting losing a day we only lose an hour and that takes adjusting. Happy trails
