Cruise The World With Us 2026

Yellow Submarine

Tuesday – February 10, 2026 – at sea to Hilo day 4

Today’s featured photo is from the evening theater production titled “Yellow Submarine”. As you might expect, the music of one musical group was used – The Beatles.

The World Cruise game today was held in the Tiger Bar because it was too windy for the game – folding and flying paper airplanes. Each team was given 5 minutes to fold airplanes. Following that each team had 3 minutes to fly those planes through a circular hoop placed about 15 feet away. The planes were put on a table when completed so each member of the team did not necessarily fly the planes they folded. This was the case for both Jan and I – we had planes to fly that did not fly. We tested the planes we folded and they fly fine. Needless to say, neither Jan nor I had a plane fly through the hoop. As a team, Air did not do well – I believe we tied for 3rd place (with only 4 teams competing). Oh well!

Following the game, we went to the restaurant on deck 5 for lunch. As we entered, we met our assistant waiter from the 2025 World Cruise – Ida. She has made it a point to say “Hi” every time we are in her area. She and Sabagria gave us great service last trip. Ida and Kelsey are about the same height.

As noted above, this evening’s show featured songs from The Beatles. We wore the t-shirts we picked up in Old Town, San Diego. The shirts are a takeoff of the Abbey Road album cover with 4 Volkswagen beetles (blue, red, yellow and white) carrying surfboards. We also have t-shirts we picked up last voyage in Christchurch, New Zealand that parody the album cover – 4 kiwis walking across a street wearing blue, red, yellow and white glasses and titles “The Kiwis”.

Our photos from today are here.
